Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Kaidora Art ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on kaidora.co.uk (the "Site"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and what choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owner of the site.

Cookies set by us are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by other parties are "third-party cookies". Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality on or through the Site.

2. Your cookie choices

When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner asks whether you accept cookies other than those the Site cannot work without. You can:

  • Accept all — allow necessary, analytical and advertising cookies;
  • Reject non-essential — allow only the cookies the Site needs to function;
  • Preferences — choose a category at a time. The categories are Necessary (always on), Analytical and Advertising.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by reopening the preferences from the cookie banner, and you can always delete cookies already stored on your device through your browser settings (see section 9).

With the Site's current configuration, only the necessary and preference cookies listed below are set. Analytical and advertising cookies are set only if you accept them.

3. The cookies we use

The table below lists the cookies this Site sets, based on the store software it runs and the services connected to it.

4. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the Site to function and cannot be switched off from within the Site. They are normally set in response to actions you take, such as adding an item to the cart, signing in, or completing a form. You can set your browser to block or alert you about them, but parts of the Site will not then work.

5. Preference cookies

These remember choices you make, such as your currency, and the products you have recently viewed or chosen to compare. They do not track you across other websites.

6. Analytical cookies

If you accept analytical cookies we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are most visited, how visitors arrive, and whether the shop is working as it should. The reports we see are aggregated and do not identify you personally. Google’s own privacy notice explains how Google handles this data: policies.google.com/privacy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. If you reject analytical cookies, none are set and no analytics data is recorded for your visit.

7. Advertising cookies

The cookie banner offers an advertising category, which would allow features such as personalised content and measuring the effectiveness of any advertising we run. We set no advertising cookies at present. If that changes, the banner will ask for your consent before any are placed.

8. Third-party content and sharing

Product pages include a share toolbar provided by ShareThis (sharethis.com/privacy). When that toolbar loads, ShareThis may set its own cookies and receive your IP address and the page you are viewing. We do not control those cookies; please see ShareThis’s own privacy policy for details.

We also load the Caudex and Space Grotesk web fonts from Google Fonts. Loading a font makes a request to Google’s servers which includes your IP address, but Google Fonts does not set cookies for this. Links to our Facebook and Instagram pages in the footer are ordinary links; they do not load anything from those networks until you click them.

9. Managing cookies in your browser

You can refuse, delete or block cookies through your browser settings. The "Help" function in your browser, or the links below, explain how:

If you block all cookies you will not be able to add items to the cart or sign in, because the Site relies on its session cookies to remember your basket.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add or remove a service that uses cookies. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
